Simply put\u2026 Set high expectations, work in teams and have clear consistent systems for behavior management.<\/u><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">If we set instructional outcomes that consistently reflect grade level standards, then we will challenge students in the classroom, so that engagement increases and deeper learning occurs for our targeted population. (Danielson Component 1C)<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">If we use assessments and analyze assessment data weekly for learning, then we will enhance our teaching practices so that our curriculum and assessments address diversity, in order for our targeted population to learn at high levels. (Danielson Component 1F and 3D)<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">If we establish universal Tier 1 systems, then we will create an environment which develops students who demonstrate respectful, responsible and safe behaviors in all areas of the school. (Danielson 2A, 2C, 2D and 2E)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>School Highlights<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Following its motto of \u201cEvery Kid, Every Day,\u201d Bradford thrives as a professional learning community, educating and supporting all learners in their quest for excellence.<\/li>\n<li>Home to a family-like atmosphere and culture of caring individuals with a rich history and traditions of a strong sense of belonging for all.<\/li>\n<li>Strong freshman academy program assists with the transition from middle school to high school, and in-school intervention and enrichment programs provide ongoing support for student learning.<\/li>\n<li>Rigorous course offerings include more than a dozen AP courses, broad array of academic opportunities in a variety of interest areas, award-winning theater and arts program, and strong co-curricular activities and clubs.<\/li>\n<li>State-of-the-art athletic facilities support championship athletics.<\/li>\n<li>Bradford HS boasts the only school in KUSD to offer both an Academic Decathlon team and a Dance class. These course and club offerings, help students to become academic sound and assist in their course pathways for future endeavors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Student Learning is Our Goal &#8211; Success is Our Only Option<\/h2>\n<p>Mary D. Bradford High School is a grade 9-12 comprehensive high school comprised of 1500+ students and over 145 faculty members. It is a school rich in tradition and heritage.<\/p>\n<p>The faculty, support staff and student body embrace excellence in extra-curricular activities as well as academic pursuits. Bradford\u2019s Theatre Arts Program is internationally known, and our music programs earn superior ratings throughout the state annually. Students enjoy the opportunity to belong to over 30 clubs, activities and service organizations, from the culturally-aware Latinos Without Borders to the eco-friendly Environmental Club. Bradford\u2019s athletic teams are consistent state contenders, with the 2024 Softball team being our most recent State Champion.<\/p>\n<p>Bradford offers everything you would expect from a comprehensive urban high school, including an expansive variety of instructional offerings. Advanced Placement and Honors level classes are offered in all academic areas.\u00a0 The district\u2019s Youth Options program provide an opportunity for students to earn advanced standing credits, which can be applied at neighboring colleges and technical schools.
