Grant Elementary School Students Share Valentine’s Day Cards with Waters Edge Residents

The Bay at Waters Edge Health and Rehabilitation Center Residents were thrilled to receive Valentine鈥檚 Day cards from students at Grant Elementary School for today鈥檚 holiday.

Velnet聽Pier, Activities Director for The Bay at Waters Edge Health and Rehabilitation Center thanked Jane聽颁补测补鈥檚聽kindergarten class, Denise Larson鈥檚 first grade class, Stephanie Hill鈥檚 second grade class, Katie聽顿别狈补谤诲辞鈥檚聽third grade class, Beverly聽顿别驳别苍别谤鈥檚聽fourth grade class, and Heidi Jones鈥 fifth grade classes for providing the beautiful, creative, and thoughtful cards to Residents at The Bay at Waters Edge.

鈥淭he residents were so happy to receive all of these beautiful Valentine鈥檚 Day cards,鈥 Pier said. 鈥淭o see the joy in the residents faces when they received the cards is why I love my job. We are so grateful for all the teachers and children at Grant Elementary for taking the time to make a card for each Resident at Waters Edge.鈥

The teachers at Grant Elementary were pleased that their students could help brighten the day of Residents at The Bay at Waters Edge Health and Rehabilitation Center.

鈥淲e are thankful for community partners like The Bay at Waters Edge Health and Rehabilitation Center who afford our students unique opportunities to spread love and kindness,鈥 said Grant Principal Leah聽Whitford. 鈥淥ur students are thrilled knowing the joy they brought to others this Valentine鈥檚 Day.鈥

The Bay at Waters Edge Resident, Gloria Petersen, who has called the Center her home for eight and a half years, said she 鈥渁bsolutely adores鈥 her card, and thanked all the students for making the cards.
