Student Expectations

We expect Tremper High School students to:

  • Attend classes regularly, complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner, and behave appropriately.
  • Be in class on time. Walk & Talk.
  • Obey all state and local laws. Possession and/or use of weapons, explosive or incendiary devices, pepper spray, gang activities, possession or sale of illegal substances, assault or harassment, theft, battery, setting off fire alarms falsely and all other violations of the law are cause for arrest by the Kenosha Police Department.
  • Not smoke. There is NO smoking in the building or on school property. This includes any type of e-cigarettes/vapes. Violations are subject to a police citation and school discipline.
  • Use appropriate language. Profanity is not tolerated.
  • Refrain from public displays of affection.
  • Follow classroom rules.
  • Follow bus regulations.
  • Follow attendance procedures for illness, prearranged absences, and signing out of the building.
  • Follow policy 5435 for electronic devices. The use of personal electronic devices, cellular phones, MP3Ìý players, IPADs, or similar devices will be prohibited on school grounds during the school day unless authorized by the Tremper High School staff. Proceed to the office for phone use.
  • Leave the building by 3:10 p.m. unless under the direct supervision of a teacher or an adult advisor. Half days by 11:10 a.m.
  • Know and use all education resources to your advantage. Ask the Tremper Staff if you need help.

For security purposes, a student ID must be on one’s person at all times. Students that leave Tremper High School without permission, and then come back onto school grounds, are subject to a search of backpacks and person.

Be respectful.Ìý Bullying will be dealt with seriously and punishment will follow the Kenosha Unified School Code of Conduct and KUSD policy.

It is imperative that parents and guardians are aware of a new state statute enacted in April 2016 that creates the crime of terrorist threats. Act 311 generally states that any individual who makes real or false claims regarding shootings, bomb threats or to cause any other bodily harm to others is guilty of a Class I felony. Since its enactment, local law enforcement has started charging individuals, including students, in line with Act 311 if they have made threats against our schools. Making threats is not a joking matter and individuals may face fines and/or imprisonment for their actions, whether intentional or not. Please speak to your children about the severity of making threats and the toll it will take on their future if they choose to make such a terrible choice. For more details, visit .

Progressive Discipline to Correct Onto a Path of Student Leadership:

While these interventions are progressive, some behaviors may warrant certain interventions to be skipped/escalated based upon school or district policy or procedures:

  1. Detention (includes lunch) AM & PM,
  2. Tremper service hours after school,
  3. ISS (In-School Suspension: part of class, all of class, part/whole day),
  4. Out-of-School Suspension (1-5 days—Second Chance Program),
  5. Administrative Review for Expulsion Consideration.
  6. Administrative Hearing for Expulsion.
  7. School Board Approval for Expulsion.

Revoking Privileges from Student Leadership Benefits

School Administration reserves the right to remove a student from any or all of the following privileges to preserve the integrity of our school pride:

  • Parking permission
  • Athletic events (attendance or participation)
  • Music events (attendance or performance)
  • Leadership roles among clubs and activities
  • Involvement with school programs (e.g. School Store, Yearbook, Newspaper),
  • Field Trip participation
  • School-wide Events (e.g. dances, assemblies, banquets)
  • Recognition for awards or honors (e.g. Renaissance, athletic letters, elected positions, titles of honor such as Homecoming Court or Prom Court)
  • Participation with graduation ceremonies

At all times, we intend to behave as a Tremper Community with dignity and respect.Ìý Tremper High School cares for each other as a team and we assist those that may slip from expected respectful behaviors.Ìý The goal is to provide opportunities to learn from mistakes and make meaning from the renewed pursuit of respectful behaviors.

Parking

General student parking is available in the Ameche lot east of Tremper High School. A parking sticker will be required and can be purchased in the Student Leadership Office for $50.00. Parking violations are subject to a police citation and towing of their automobile at their personal expense. All parents or visitors should park on the East end of the campus and enter through the Main Entrance.

In order to receive a parking pass for the Ameche parking lot, you must provide the following information to Student Leadership (Room 109):

  • Completed Student Vehicle Registration Form
  • ORIGINAL Driver’s License (student),
  • Make/Model/Color/Year of the vehicle,
  • Registered Owner’s Name,
  • License Plate Number,
  • $50.00 cash, check, or credit card.

All Students with parking permits will park in the East lot and enter through the Main Entrance. No students will be allowed to park in the West lot. The cost of a parking permit will be $30 at second semester and $15 at 4th quarter. If you need to use an alternate vehicle, you must sign in your vehicle in room 109 for up to10 days. After 10 days, you must purchase a new parking pass.

Student lockers, cars parked on KUSD property, and backpacks will be searched by the Tremper administration when reasonable suspicion exists of illegal items or suspicious behavior. Also, our building is searched from time to time by the Kenosha Police Department and the canine unit. If these trained dogs hit on your locker, or car on KUSD property, this DOES constitute reasonable suspicion and you could be subject to search procedures.

Lunch Hours

Tremper High School is a Closed Campus.Ìý Students are not permitted to leave the school or engage in non-school related activities during the school day without the permission of the principal or designee, and a parent/guardian. Students who leave the Tremper High School campus without permission and return back onto the school premises will be subjected to a search by Tremper staff.

All enrolled students of sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú schools that serve meals are eligible to receive each day a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household during 2025-26 school year. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application. Please remember that if a student takes milk only, there is a $.40 charge. Backpacks

Students are permitted to carry their school materials and personal items in backpacks.Ìý However, backpacks are subject to inspection by the building administration when reasonable suspicion exists.

Awards and Incentives

Classroom Incentives: Many teachers use a variety of classroom incentives (special passes, stickers, coupons, etc.) to encourage academic excellence/improvement, good attendance, or positive attitude.Ìý Any staff member may acknowledge exceptional acts of caring and kindness.Ìý Students will be acknowledged by school leadership.

Special Drawings and Scholarships:Ìý Special Renaissance drawings focus on perfect attendance, improvement, and academic excellence. Renaissance awards two scholarships each year to high-achieving Renaissance seniors.

Mayor’s Youth Commission Award:Ìý The Mayor’s Youth Commission is dedicated to the recognition of outstanding youth of Kenosha.Ìý The program seeks to recognize youth in our community for their achievements, ranging from helping others to helping themselves.Ìý Students can be nominated for this award by any Tremper Staff Member.

Lockers and Related Security Procedures

Students should report items missing from lockers that are presumed stolen. Staff will investigate each incident and record all items missing in hopes that they can be found and returned.Ìý In an attempt to reduce theft, we ask all students to do the following:

  1. Be sure your locker is closed and locked before you walk away.
  2. Immediately report any difficulty with your locker to the Office of Student Leadership (Room 109).
  3. Do not give your locker combination to anyone – not even your best friend!
  4. Write your name in ink on the inside covers of all textbooks and identify personal property.
  5. When opening your locker, be sure that you do not allow others to see your combination.
  6. Lockers are school property and are subject to inspection at any time by the Principal/designee.
  7. No personal locks are permitted on school lockers. Students will be asked to remove their locks or have them cut off at their expense.
  8. A $9.00 fee will be charged to replace any damaged or lost lock.

If personal items are lost or stolen, there is no school insurance to cover the loss.Ìý Each family should check with their insurance company to see if coverage is provided.Ìý Locker and backpack inspections may occur at any time.

Students may decorate the inside of their locker with school appropriate items.Ìý Students can use tape, magnets, or other items that can be easily removed.Ìý Students can be charged with school vandalism for marking any school property with permanent marker or stickers.Ìý Students are responsible to keep a clean locker during the time it is assigned to them and clean out their locker at the end of the school year.Ìý No items are to be put on the outside of lockers.

Attendance

Please call the school attendance office at 262-359-2222 to report absences, or to address any attendance concerns.

Good attendance is a habit necessary for success in school and in life.Ìý Wisconsin law requires students to attend school regularly during all scheduled school hours, with some exceptions. In conjunction with the citywide truancy ordinance, it is our commitment in KUSD to work diligently with parents and guardians to promote consistent and committed school attendance.

Frequently Asked Questions About Attendance

  1. When my child is absent, what should I do?Ìý Call the attendance line any time within 24 hours of the absence 262-359-2222.Ìý When leaving a message, please clearly state the student’s name (spelling the last name), grade, ID number (if known), reason for the absence, and your relationship to the student. Students who were called in late or have a note MUST sign in at the Attendance Office.
  2. What should my child do if he/she becomes ill at school? Students should go to the Health Office either during passing time or with a pass from their classroom teacher.Ìý The nurse will contact a guardian, verify permission to go home, and send the student to the Attendance Office for proper sign-out.Ìý This process must be followed for an absence to be excused.Ìý Students may not call a parent and leave on their own.
  3. What does my child do if he/she has an appointment during the day? The student should bring a note from a parent/guardian regarding the appointment and time to the Attendance Office before school begins on the day of the appointment. Your child should then go to the Attendance Office for proper sign-out before leaving the building.Ìý A timely return is expected with the student signing back in at the Attendance Office unless otherwise specified.ÌýÌý Verification of appointments may be requested, i.e. court slip, doctor appointment slip. NOTE:Ìý State law does not allow the school to excuse students for job interviews or any appointments that are not specific to that student. If your child does not have a note, you may fax a signed note to the Attendance Office at 262-359-2079, send an email to tremattendance@kusd.edu, or a person on the students Infinite Campus Emergency Contact List must come in to school with photo identification and sign them out.
  4. How does KUSD’s attendance system work? The classroom teacher takes attendance each class period, having the choice of either present, absent, or tardy for each student.Ìý Parent phone calls resulting in an excused absence or prearranged absences/field trips/school sponsored activities are entered in the Attendance Office computers.Ìý If a student is out sick 3 days in a row or 10 times in a school year you may be expected to get a note from your doctor each time your student is absent unless you have a medical note on file for a chronic health problem (30 days max).Ìý Per policy, you may only be excused for a total of 10 times in a school year.Ìý If an exception needs to be made, you must contact the Attendance Office.
  5. What happens if my child is tardy to school and/or class? Students who do not make it to class on time will report to the Attendance Office.Ìý Repeat occurrences will lead to additional follow-up, including potential counseling, parent meetings, interventions, or disciplinary action including detention, service hours, in-school suspension/out-of-school suspension, and action through the City Truancy Ordinance.
  6. Is the attendance expectation the same for athletic participation? Yes, athletes must be in attendance for ALL scheduled classes in order to practice or compete.Ìý The only exception is when the student attends a regularly scheduled event that begins before the end of the school day.
  7. What if my child cannot medically participate in physical education class? Because Physical Education is a requirement for graduation, in the event a student is unable to participate for any amount of time due to medical reasons (asthma, sprains, stitches, etc.), a doctor’s excuse MUST be presented to the teacher and the nurse.Ìý Extended periods of time away from the Physical Education class will be handled on an individual basis.
  8. What school do I notify of absence when my child has classes at more than one school? Parents need to notify both schools of absence. Students enrolled in more than one school must have a parent notify the attendance office when a field trip interferes with attendance at their second school.Ìý A note from the field trip supervisor may be requested.
  9. Are Students allowed to leave campus during lunches? No, KUSD enforces a closed-campus policy.

 

Loitering/Hall Wandering: Students are expected to be in assigned areas based on their schedule of classes.Ìý Not being where assigned is a disruption to the learning climate of the school.Ìý Consequences for loitering may include detention, service hours, in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension, or a loss of hall pass privileges.Ìý Repeated violations will require a parent/guardian conference.

Class Releases:Ìý Students who have official school/class release such as: Youth Apprenticeship, Student Partnership, Senior/Junior releases, and Individual Education Plan releases, etc, are not allowed in the building during their release time without permission from an appropriate school official.Ìý Students who are found in the building during their release time are subject to disciplinary action.Ìý If students have a class after the release, they must return to school prior to the beginning of the class and wait at the Main Entrance.

Trespassing:Ìý Students (and others) who have been informed not to be on school premises or who have no permission or authorization to be on school premises may be issued a citation for trespassing.Ìý Other consequences may include detention or out-of-school suspension and possible police contacts.

Infinite Campus Connection

Infinite Campus issues every parent/guardian secure login information when a student is enrolled at any of the KUSD schools.Ìý This login information will follow them throughout their career at KUSD.Ìý This unique login is connected to all students to whom you are a guardian. Only a parent or legal guardian listed in the student’s contacts will be provided Infinite Campus access.

School Counseling Services

The role of the school guidance counselor—Your counselor is your primary contact in Student Services.Ìý School Counselors provide support to students in three areas:

Academic/Educational: Work with students, parents/guardians, and staff to develop a comprehensive academic plan to meet students’ needs and interests.

Career/Vocational: Help prepare students in becoming academic or career ready for post-high school life.

Personal/Social: Assist students in dealing with challenging life situations which may impact their success at school. Counselors also work closely with other student support staff in addressing these issues.

Ways to Meet with Your Counselor

  1. Students can walk in to meet with their counselor during passing periods or after school.
  2. Students can use E-Hall pass to request an appointment or if needed, email their counselor and a meeting can be arranged.

Academic and Career Planning (ACP)

School counselors and other staff will be working with students to develop their Academic Career Plan. This plan will help students:

  • Better connect their goals to educational coursework and career interests.
  • Self-explore, explore careers, and develop career management and planning.
  • Long-term plan for life after high school.
  • Create and cultivate their own visions for post-secondary success.
  • Improve their understanding of post-secondary options.
  • Use Check and Connect (C&C) time to learn more about these specific topics from their school counselor.

Dual Credit Opportunities

Under two different State of Wisconsin programs, high school students may apply to take college or technical college courses for both high school and college credit. ÌýTuition and books for students enrolled in approved courses will be paid by sa¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÍøÒ³Èë¿Ú.

To participate in this program, students must complete an application by the due date during the semester prior to enrollment. ÌýThe student must meet the admission requirements set by the participating colleges.Ìý Course must meet district-approved guidelines. ÌýCourses comparable to high school courses will not be approved.Ìý Interested students should explore the Early College Credit and/or Start College Now on the KUSD website, fill out necessary paperwork and then meet with their school counselor to discuss their interest, course approval and guidelines, and the impact the desired course work may have on their high school educational program and future plans.

Two main points are that a high school student will be limited to a maximum of 18 post-secondary credits and cannot have concurrent enrollment in the Start College Now Program and Early College Credit Program. Courses allowed at the technical college are for students enrolled in Ìýgrades 11-12.Ìý The university courses are for students in grades 9-12.

School Transfer Requests

The timeline for filling out a school transfer request is January 6 through January 17 of any given year.Ìý The form may be approved or disapproved based on socioeconomic balance and/or space.

Cheating and Plagarism

Cheating is defined as any time a student represents someone else’s work as their own, shares work (their own or someone else’s) so that others may use it as their own, or shares/views assessment questions/prompts in advance and without permission to gain an academic advantage over others. ÌýExamples include (but are not limited to) sharing work, purchasing work or test questions, paying others to do work, and plagiarism.

How cheating and plagiarism are handled depends on the situation. ÌýIn any given situation, discussions of the incident may occur and involve a dean and/or administrator resulting in behavioral referrals and consequences.

Policy for Determining Top Academic Scholars

The Graduating class of 2022 was the first group of students to be recognized using the Laude System.

What is a Laude System?

On February 28, 2017 the KUSD School Board approved the Implementation of the Laude System. The Laude System is a tiered system that recognizes students for the rigor of their academic program, as well as their success in that program. Only the GPA will be shown on the student’s transcript, not a class rank. The various tiers would be determined by the weighted grade point average of a student:

  • Summa Cum Laude: Highest Honor
  • Magna Cum Laude: Great Honor
  • Cum Laude: Honor

School-Based Mental Health Services

In partnership with our local Professional Services Group (PSG), we are able to provide students school-based mental health services.Ìý Licensed professionals from PSG are able to meet with students during their regular school day here at Tremper.Ìý Providing services within the school increases access to services for families who may not be able to go to an outpatient clinic on their own.

Referrals for school-based services are made by school staff including counselors, case managers, and social workers.Ìý Parents who are interested in their child receiving these services should contact their student’s counselor and request that a referral be made.

Deliveries

In order to eliminate classroom distractions, parents are discouraged from sending flowers, balloons, and other assorted gifts to school for their child.Ìý Such deliveries must remain in the school office until the end of the school day.Ìý Latex balloons are prohibited. No food deliveries allowed of any kind.

Please note that any food delivered by a restaurant/delivery service are prohibited and will be refused at the door.

Field Trips

Students participating in a school-sponsored field trip must complete

a Parent Permission Form prior to the trip.Ìý This form must be signed by a parent or guardian.Ìý You will not be marked absent in any class if you are on a field trip. It is the student’s responsibility to coordinate with the teachers of classes that they missed and make up any class work.

Dress Code

Clothing that is not allowed:

  • Clothing that contains pictures and/or writing referring to alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, sexual references, profanity, illegal drugs, bigoted epithets, harassment/hate messages, or messages of hostility toward race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation
  • Clothing representing gangs or gang-related activity, including gang-related colors if for purposes of gang identification
  • Non-prescription sunglasses while indoors
  • Headwear that covers the face, except those worn as a religious observance or for medical reasons

Inclement Weather Information

On occasion, school may be closed due to inclement weather. There are many avenues of communication that the district uses to inform you of school closings.Ìý Some of these are:

Identification Cards

Students are required to have their Tremper ID on them at all times.Ìý This card is used to identify you as a Tremper student at school and school events.Ìý The ID is needed to check out books in the library, check into school upon arriving late and to purchase lunch.Ìý Replacement IDs can be purchased in the school library.Ìý Students who lose or deface their ID will be required to purchase a replacement.Ìý The replacement cost for an ID is $1.50 and the lanyard replacement fee is $0.50.

Textbooks

Students are responsible for all textbooks checked out to them. Any damage or loss will be charged to the student.Ìý Students are to turn in books to their teachers at the end of the term.Ìý Books (including library) left in lockers at the end of the year or turned in late may be assessed a late fee.

Renaissance

Renaissance is a recognition and incentive program that focuses on academic excellence, good attendance, appropriate behavior, and academic & behavioral improvements.Ìý Tremper Renaissance is under the administration of the Academic Affairs branch of Student Government.

Every student at Tremper High School is eligible to attain the incentives and rewards for this program!

Achievements will be recognized as follows:

  • Recognition will take place annually during an end-of-the-year reception
  • Students will be recognized for achievements earned on a semester basis

Premier Status

Requirements:

  • Students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, no discipline referrals, no D’s or F’s, no truancies, no unexcused tardies

Rewards:

  • An academic letter and numerals will be awarded upon achieving Premier status for two semesters
  • A medal will be issued each Renaissance year Premier status is achieved following the letter:
  • 4 semesters – Bronze
  • 6 semesters– Silver
  • 7 semesters — Gold
  • Renaissance Reception at the end of the year
  • Renaissance pass to be used the semester following Premier Status
  • Seniors who have earned premier status for 6 semesters will be issued a Renaissance Medallion to be worn during the graduation ceremony

Activities and Organizations

All students are encouraged to participate in a high school activity or club.Ìý Research suggests that when students become involved in a high school activity or club, they tend to perform better academically.Ìý Please take advantage of the numerous opportunities available at Tremper High School.Ìý All participants will be asked to sign the Activities Code of Conduct.Ìý (Refer to School Board Policy 6700)

  • CLASSIC Yearbook:Ìý This organization completely plans, organizes, collects information, and publishes the school yearbook.
  • International Club:Ìý International Club is open to anyone interested in gaining and promoting cultural awareness of the world.

  • Renaissance Program: The Renaissance Program is an academic incentive initiative that encourages and recognizes outstanding student achievement as well as improved student performance.

Arts & Performance

  • Band of the Black Watch:Ìý This summer marching band performs at numerous locations within and outside the state of Wisconsin.
  • Drama Club:Ìý Students interested in acting, dance, stage crew, and performance are encouraged to join this team of artists who produce numerous plays throughout the year, including the Senior Skit.
  • Environmental Club:Ìý This club explores the possibilities for improving our environment.
  • Golden Strings:Ìý Members of this organization perform “lighter†and more popular music in addition to traveling around the world for performance opportunities.
  • Jazz Bands:Ìý These bands provide music enrichment opportunities through evening performances.
  • Ye Olde Christmasse Feaste:Ìý An annual dinner performance held at Tremper with contributions from community leaders, alumni, and students.Ìý Supporting this production includes:
    • Madrigal Singers: A music enrichment group based on auditions.
    • Fencing Club: Students learn and demonstrate the art of fencing.

  • Construction:Ìý This vocational education group enhances students’ business and technical skills with construction projects geared toward community service outcomes.
  • DECA:Ìý The Distribution Education Clubs of America focus on marketing students and builds experiences for vocational education and leadership development.
  • FBLA:Ìý The Future Business Leaders of America promote business management skill development and cooperative education experiences.
  • FCCLA: Family Career & Community Leaders of America promotes making a difference in families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work , and societal issues. All while enhancing skills learned in family and consumer sciences classes.
  • HOSA: Future Health ProfessionalsÌýprovides opportunities for secondary students to plan and participate in educational experiences that prepare them for careers in the health care professions.
  • SkillsUSA: Students hone their hands-on skills against current industry standards in more than 140 occupational areas, from 3-D Animation to Welding and nearly everything in between. At the same time, they develop the transformative career-readiness skills — teamwork, communication, professionalism, leadership and more — that fuel career and life success

Community Interests

  • Campus Life United:Ìý An organization that meets on a regular basis to share spiritual insights and study the Bible.
  • Kiwanis Educating Youth (KEY Club):Ìý A service organization that works in conjunction with Kiwanis Club to help improve and assist our community and the world. Each local club is affiliated with a Kiwanis club, which works on local projects and part of Key Club International, which promotes an international project that is worked on as well.

Leadership

  • Class Officers:Ìý Each class produces specific events to increase school spirit, including Homecoming float building, Prom, and Senior Banquet.
  • Freshman Transition Team: An organization of selected juniors and seniors whose primary role is to assist and mentor freshmen students.Ìý Leaders meet with their freshmen on a regular basis during the beginning of the school year to present lessons and work with freshmen students individually on academic and social skills.
  • Student Government:Ìý An organization of selected membership and elected leaders who define school improvements and organize school-wide activities.Ìý Student Government includes the following committees:
    • Academic Affairs runs the Renaissance Program and assists with Honors Convocation and Graduation.
    • Community Relations runs the annual Blood Drive and provides a number of other community service opportunities.
    • Special Events coordinates all special school events, including Homecoming.
    • Spirit Events coordinates school wide spirit activities, including Spirit Assemblies and Powder Puff Football.
    • Student Engagement & Diversity Services manages Activity Fair, and Spread the Spirit.

Tremper Library Website

The Tremper Library Learning Center (LMC) is where learning evolves and because the library media center serves a multitude of purposes, it is not a silent place. However, proper behavior is expected. Students may carry on quiet, appropriate conversation but nothing that interferes with the center’s learning environment. Students who do not exhibit appropriate behavior will lose their library privileges.

The Library Learning Commons Staff can help you with the following:

  • Finding books both in the library, Overdrive, and interlibrary loans
  • Using computers, printers, media devices
  • Checking out or renewing materials and recording equipment
  • Video editing and production
  • Technology trouble shooting
  • Researching online databases and within online databases

Rules of the Library Learning Commons:

  • All school rules of conduct apply in the LMC. All behaviors are prohibited which interfere with the educational process for the students present in the LMC.
  • Students are not allowed to take makeup tests in the LMC.
  • Quiet talking is allowed. Anything beyond a reasonable level will result in the student being asked to leave and return to class.
  • Sleeping is not allowed.
  • Cell phone use is only allowed if a student is doing schoolwork. This is in accordance with KUSD Policy 6633.
  • Destroying or defacing library materials or equipment is inappropriate and is considered destruction of school property.
  • Any student who does not follow the rules will be subject to disciplinary action. A student who is disciplined in the LMC will receive warnings and/or lose LMC privileges, as well as be referred to the Office of Student Leadership (109).

Computer Use Expectations

Tremper High School provides computer resources to enhance and support learning and teaching. Students are expected to exercise their privilege to use these resources in a manner consistent with the existing KUSD School Board Policy #6633 and all Federal, State and Local laws. Any activity that is unethical, illegal, disruptive, offensive or mischievous is inappropriate and will result in consequences. The student is ultimately responsible for his/her conduct on the system, and will be held accountable for his actions while using any facet of the computer system at Tremper.

Students are prohibited from doing the following on school computer equipment:

  • Damaging, changing, or tampering with any part of the school’s computer system, hardware, or default settings
  • Engaging in non-academic uses of the computer system, such as game playing, chatting, etc.
  • Accessing other user’s files or accounts
  • Bypassing or attempting to bypass the security measures on any school computer
  • Bringing food or drink in the vicinity of the computers or computer-related equipment.
